A reworked hydraulic control with 4/3 directional control valve (poppet type) provides more safety in clamping and forming processes with operating pressures up to 500 bar. It is mounted on a newly designed valve block that also enables the direct mounting of further hydraulic control elements. An adaptation of the two-hand controls ensures easy realisation of manual coupling processes. Due to the reduced number of hydraulic valves and their connecting elements the power unit has a simple and function-safe design, which guarantees highest process safety and optimum protection of the operator. The reduction of components does not only provide safety-related advantages. Less space is required for the hydraulic control elements and mounting expenses are reduced as no tubing is required.
