New PLIOGRIP by Valvoline tape for molding and emblems introduced to auto repair market

A new acrylic double-sided tape for moldings and emblems is now available to the automobile repair market from Ashland Specialty Polymers & Adhesives, a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc. The new double-sided tape, part of the PLIOGRIP by Valvoline line of auto body repair products, is water clear, and features a solid core.

Ashland offers innovative solid chemical feed system for water treatment

Ashland has added solid chemical treatment to its ULTRA-SERV inventory management programs for water treatment. ULTRA-SERV solid chemical programs, offered by Drew Industrial, a business group of Ashland Water Technologies, a division of Ashland Inc., incorporate a solid chemical feeder and associated products to provide an option benefiting customers who prefer not to handle liquid chemicals in pails or drums.

Ashland Inc. announced that it signed a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of Northwest Coatings of Oak Creek, Wis., a formulator and manufacturer of adhesives and coatings employing ultraviolet and electron beam polymerization technologies. Northwest Coatings is a holding of Caltius Equity Partners.

New mixing technology offered by Ashland eases adhesive and sealer application

A new mixing technology for two-part adhesive and sealer applications is now part of the PLIOGRIP by Valvoline body repair system from Ashland Inc. The 18-element SuperQuadro static mixer from Sulzer Quadro Systems will be introduced with the new larger format 400ml and 600ml PLIOGRIP by Valvoline products for the truck repair market.

PLIOGRIP by Valvoline Finishing Cream skim coat eases class A finish on plastics

PLIOGRIP by Valvoline Finishing Cream skim coat is being featured at the New Product Pavilion during the annual International Autobody Congress and Exposition. This product, from Ashland Inc., is a two-part epoxy skim coat for repair of minor scratches or gouges in various plastic substrates including thermoplastic polyolefin bumper covers and plastic and composite body panels.

3M introduces new microSD card connector

A new connector for microSD cards that has a 1.85 mm profile height, one of the lowest in the industry has been introduced by 3M. Further, the 3M microSD Card Connector 2900 Series from the 3M Electronic Solutions Division measures 11 mm x 15 mm x 1 mm, with an actual footprint of 14.0 mm x 14.2 mm x 0.8 mm, the smallest form factor available.
