Global specialty chemicals producer Great Lakes Chemical Corporation has announced the establishment of an EVP of sales and marketing position at Gulf Stabilizers Industries, the company’s joint venture for the production of antioxidants in Saudi Arabia.
In a move that represents a significant commitment to the Near and Middle East region, global specialty chemicals producer Great Lakes Chemical Corporation has announced the establishment of an EVP of sales and marketing position at Gulf Stabilizers Industries, the company’s joint venture, formed in 1999, with AH Al Zamil Group for the production of antioxidants in Saudi Arabia. Newly appointed sales and marketing EVP Dieter Morath, who also serves as the director of sales EMEA for Great Lakes, stated that “closer integration of the regional sales and manufacturing activities of Gulf Stabilizers Industries with the proven best practices and quality standards in place at Great Lakes’ operations worldwide will increase our ability to further enhance service to this important market.” Gulf Stabilizers Industries is a joint venture between the AH Al Zamil Group, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading industrial manufacturing companies, and Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, the world’s leading producer of certain specialty chemicals. Gulf Stabilizers Industries was formed in December 1999 in response to the growing demand in the Middle East for local raw material production and local support for the rapid expansion in polyolefin and other plastic manufacturing industries in the region. The company manufactures antioxidants and Anox NDB, no dust blends, at the production facility in Al Jubail, Saudia Arabia.
