Filtration and flow components made from porous metal media go on show to medical device manufacturers

Mott Corporation display a wide variety of flow and filtration components and assemblies in their exhibit at the MD&M West tradeshow (Booth #3089) taking place in Anaheim, CA on February 10-12, 2009.

Design engineers utilise Mott’s porous metal media to control gas and liquid flows in drug delivery devices, increase instrument performance, and filter micron sized impurities from gas and liquid streams. Porous metal products offer exceptional performance, biocompatibility, durability, and value. Because of its exceptional value and durability, customers who integrate porous metal into their devices frequently have the option of being able to clean and sterilise the device between uses to obtain extended life, or simply dispose of the item. Also, porous metal can be completely recycled, thus supporting a sustainable environment. Applications using Mott porous metal products include biocompatible porous titanium filters, implantable devices, metal filters in test stands, spargers used in cell-culture processes, filters to prevent plugging in catheters, and precision flow restrictors for the delivery of gases in life-critical systems.
