Each year around 9.9 million tonnes of waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE) is generated in the EU. WEEE is a rich potential source of recovered materials. Due to poor collection and recycling rates and processes that can only recover a small number of materials, many critical and valuable materials are lost from the system.
 
Drakelands tungsten mine development gets revised planning approval

SLR Consulting has helped secure a revised planning approval for a £75 million processing facility at Wolf Minerals’ Drakelands tungsten mine near Plymouth. On completion the plant will produce up to 5000 tonnes of tungsten concentrate and 1000 tonnes of tin concentrate a year at what is the third largest tungsten resource in the world.

A specialist team of CDP engineers have been working on the Bloodhound Project since January, when they took on the vital work of finalising the design of the steering wheel for manufacture.
