ABB has launched a new range of compact, cost-effective and easy to assembly TP&N MCCB panelboards for applications up to 800A incomer with outgoing ways up to 250A. In conjunction with the existing Protecta range of final distribution boards and the ArTu distribution system the new panelboards now enable ABB to offer a distribution solution to suit any requirement from a 100A single phase distribution board to a 3200A four pole Form 4 system.

The new ABB MCCB panelboards are available in either wall mounted or floor standing versions in three configurations to provide six, 12 or 18 outgoing ways as standard and can also be supplied as a bare pan custom panelboard/ pan assembly to enable customers to create their own panelboard.

Incomer options include either direct connection or via switch disconnector/MCCB from 250A up to 800A. The new panelboards are designed to complement ABB's new Tmax series MCCBs and accept three or four pole Tmax T1 or T3 outgoing devices from 16A up to 250A, as well as the single pole Tmax T1, which simply plug-in to the busbar system.

The panelboard features a robust steel cabinet and a selection of top, bottom and side extension modules are available together with an optional glazed door. Vertical trunking behind each row of MCCB's allow for cabling for accessories such as shunt opening releases, undervoltage releases and auxiliary contacts.
