Husky unveils new automotive hot runner products

Husky Injection Molding Systems : 22 October, 2006  (New Product)
Husky Hot Runners has introduced a number of new hot runner products aimed at the automotive market. Among them is the Hydraulic Ultra 1750 Valve Gate nozzle for large part automotive molding. The Ultra 1750 can handle throughputs of up to 2,000 grams/second.
Melt channels are sized, up to 25 mm in diameter, for each application and a wide range of nozzle lengths are available. Gating options include thermal and valve gate. The system features a three year leakproof guarantee (for plastic and hydraulic oil).

The new Ultra 1000 RP features a complete hot half with plates at a competitive price, without compromise on performance or quality. It is available with up to 12 drops, hot tip or valve gate, for large part automotive molding, and is guaranteed leakproof for three years. The plates are optimized and adapted for the needs of large part molding. The new plate design allows Husky to offer these systems at 15% savings compared to the previous design without making any compromises in quality.

Plate sizes up to 68x56 inches are available for the Ultra 1000 RP with competitive lead times. The nozzles feature a robust design, are guaranteed leakproof and are simple to install and maintain. The internal wiring is fully tested prior to shipping. A 4 drop Ultra 1000 RP will be on display at the Husky booth at NPE.

Also new for automotive molders is a Sequential Valve Gate Control option on Husky's TTC hot runner temperature controllers. The proprietary software provides sequential control of the valve gates and is ideal for long, thin parts such as exterior trim and aesthetic parts.

A new Split Sprue Bar is also available. Configurable for different applications, it can be used in an offset stack arrangement or in a tandem configuration. This is ideal for the economical molding of left and right parts, including door panels.

Husky Hot Runners has also introduced new 3D drawings for customers that will improve compatibility with mold designers' CAD programs. The new 3D drawings are available upon request.
