IDA

Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association : 08 November, 2006  (Company News)
AIDA
Transfer operations can be performed in a single, two-point suspension gap press, or in a multiple press cell where one and two- point suspension machines are grouped to provide total capacity of 10.000 kN or more and a bed area of 6m or more. AIDA’s advanced technology provides cycle speeds that are quite close to those of a dedicated transfer presses. AIDA’s NC Series Gap Frame presses have the ability to perform precision transfer work because they are built with extremely rigid frames and offer the lowest bearing clearance and smallest angular frame deflection in the press industry. For the customer, these features mean extended tool life and more accurate parts while minimizing part burr, noise and vibration.

Featuring the fastest Hydraulic Overload Protection System HOLP available, AIDA’s NC1 and NC2 presses come equipped with a wet clutch, which allows customers to achieve high single stroking rates without the clutch overheating when using the gap frame in hand-fed operations or with automation. The volume of air used with each stroke of the gap frame press is reduced by fifty percent or more when compared with the air friction clutch. AIDA offers the wet clutch as a standard feature on its gap frame presses. The AIDA pinion and gear are machined to close tolerances to minimize operating backlash.
