Advanced Polymer Alloys, a division of Ferro Corporation, today announced the availability of an Extrusion Guide that offers molders and product engineers technical processing tips for working with Alcryn Melt Processible Rubber. Alcryn MPR, the premium material in APA's Melt-Processible Elastomer family of products, provides the ergonomic and performance qualities of rubber with superior oil, heat, and weather resistance.

The Alcryn MPR Extrusion Guide features information on rheology and tips on material handling and safety; use on different types of extrusion and co-extrusion equipment; and processing parameters, so molders can achieve the highest quality Alcryn MPR parts and processing efficiencies.

Alcryn MPR is available in several different series, including the premium 2100 bondable grades, which can be processed using extrusion and injection molding. The 2100 series is extremely durable, and bonds well to PVC, PC, ABS, PC/ABS, and ASA. It's available in colorable, black, and translucent.
