As well as five air cooled guns, with ratings from 160A to 410A, there are two heavy duty water cooled guns for applications demanding continuous current up to 440A using mixed gasses. Maximum rating rises to 500A with CO2.

All guns are available with a choice of 3 metre or 4.5 metre hose length and feature newly designed ergonomic handles. Overall weight, including the hose bundle is from 1.4 kg for the PSF 160 up to 5.3 kg for the PSF 505. When used with microprocessor controlled power supplies the guns can provide remote switching between three welding programs using the RS3 remote three-step program switch option. Flexibility is further enhanced by a wide range of accessories, including three alternative angled swan necks for most of the guns in the range, plus spot welding adapters.

A full range of wire liners and contact tips is available covering applications of all types and diameters of wire. PSF guns are designed to operate with wire diameters from 0.6 mm to 2.4 mm overall, depending on the individual model. Maximum wire diameter reduces to 1.6 mm for stainless steel. Liner types include steel and Teflon according to application. Users also have the option of using plain copper, copper/chromium/zirconium long-life alloy or HELIX extra long life contact tips.
