Osprey Metals Al-Si 'CE Alloys' now available via e-commerce

Sandvik Coromant UK : 19 March, 2003  (Company News)
To meet the increasing demand for its family of aluminium/silicon (Al/Si) controlled expansion alloys, Osprey Metals has established website access to an inventory in the United States and Europe of select compositions and sizes, available for immediate shipment.
Osprey Metals Ltd, part of Sandvik Materials Technology and a wholly owned subsidiary of Sandvik AB, Sweden, manufactures a range of Si-Al alloys, tailored to a specific thermal expansion coefficient at any value in the range 7-23ppm/C. These cost effective, easy to use and lightweight alloys exhibit high thermal conductivity and are stiff, machinable, plateable and environmentally friendly. Osprey's proprietary, ISO 9001 certified process provides uniform properties and optimum mechanical characteristics.

'Websites cealloys.com for the US and cealloys.co.uk for Europe and Asia will support the growing interest in small quantity, quick-turn materials,' says Dr. Alan Leatham, Director of Sales and Marketing and Co-Founder of Osprey Metals. 'Starting April 1, 2003, customers will be able to check price and availability and place orders online. The factory will continue to support requirements for custom machined and/or plated parts, as well as higher volume blocks, plates and sheets. Contact information for our expanded support team will be available to assist with material selection, as well as any technical or logistical questions or concerns.'
