Providing unique support for maximum refresh rates on specialty high-resolution, multi-input digital displays

Matrox Graphics Inc., today announced the Parhelia HR256 graphics card, providing optimal support for video, 2D and 3D graphics on high-resolution, multi-input digital displays, such as the 9 mega pixel IBM T221, Iiyama AQU5611DTBK and ViewSonic VP2290b.

For use in any standard desktop workstation, the Matrox Parhelia HR256 is the ideal graphics accelerator for professionals using high-resolution digital flat panels for the analysis of detailed imagery and large models in industries such as mapping/satellite reconnaissance, space exploration, CAD, video post production, desktop publishing, life sciences, aerospace and automotive visualization, medical training/reference, transportation and logistics, oil and gas exploration, plant design and management, and digital photography.

'Matrox's commitment to developing a specialized graphics card for the VP2290b will enable ViewSonic to penetrate more markets, where high-resolution panels are already in demand,' says Jeff Klaass, director, business development, ViewSonic. The Matrox Parhelia HR256 is the only graphics card that features a quad single-link DVI interface, enabling both a quad DVI and dual LFH-60 direct connection, with no adaptors, ensuring pristine image quality and providing support for exceptionally high resolutions, such as 3840 x 2400, and optimal screen refresh rates. For an extended workspace across additional monitors, or for specialized work environments, this distinctive graphics card can be run alongside other Matrox graphics cards in the same system.
