ENVISIONTEC TO INTEGRATE MATERIALISE RP DATA PREPARATION SOFTWARE INTO ITS PERFACTORY SOFTWARE SUITE
29 October 2003 - Materialise NV

Materialise, leading provider of software for rapid prototyping (RP) data preparation or 3D pre-press software, has entered an OEM contract with EnvisionTEC.

The German company manufactures and markets the latest in Digital Light Processing Rapid Prototyping and Concept modelling machines: the Perfactory System. Under the agreement, EnvisionTEC will bundle a customised version of Materialise' renowned Magics RP software with its Perfactory Mini and Perfactory Standard machines, giving customers a total solution for 3D modelling and printing.

'EnvisionTEC chose a sound and reliable software firm as a partner to ensure that 3D models can be efficiently pre-processed, and built quickly on the Perfactory System. EnvisionTEC is confident that the addition of Materialise' Magics software to it's Perfactory Software Suite will provide a complete, and comprehensive powerful data preparation tool for the Perfactory users,' says Hendrik John, Managing Director of EnvisionTEC

'We are delighted that EnvisionTEC is offering Magics as an integral part of its rapid prototyping solutions,' says Bart Swaelens, Materialise Software's Director, 'Together, we are making it easier for users to prepare watertight, error-free STL models and to build high-quality prototypes.'

The Magics EnvisionTEC version will be bundled with the Perfactory Software suite, and will be customized to the requirements of EnvisionTEC. The customisation will be done by Materialise' Software Development Services (SDS), a department dedicated to developing new and adapting existing software for third parties.
