ADVANTECH DELIVERS TRUSTED EPLATFORM SERVICES TO DRIVE NICHE VERTICAL APPLICATIONS

Advantech is dedicated to cresting the wave for new technological developments. This year, Advantech will demonstrate two System-On-Module solutions adopting the latest processors from both Intel and VIA. Powered by Intel Core Duo processor, the “SOM-Express SOM-5782” features smart power management. The “SOM-ETX SOM-4477,” with the VIA CX700 chipset, supports dual screens, CRT/TV and direct LVDS connection. Advantech will also showcase the potent PICMG 1.3 server platform, the SYS-4U4562-5S01, empowered by Intel Dual Xeon processors. With a PICMG 1.3 backplane, the system is capable of providing massive expandability, applying both PCI Express and PCI-X busses to optimize I/O performance. Furthermore, a new model of the Industrial Smart Ethernet Switch, the EKI-6538 will be demonstrated by the Advantech eAutomation Group. The rugged EKI-6538 supports advanced network management functions such as Quality of Service for prioritizing packets, a port trunk for aggregated bandwidths, and port mirroring for packet analysis and monitoring. To augment the comprehensive product range, Advantech offers unique and precise customization services to meet the diversified demand from a wide range of vertical markets. Advantech’s CTOS, “Configure-To-Order–Services,” offers the ultimate eBusiness service, and provides system solutions through the online eConfigurator service. CTOS empowers system solutions from industrial ATX and microATX motherboards, PICMG single board computers, to a comprehensive range of 1U to 7U rackmount and wallmount chassis.
