Materialise continuously enhances its software products to deliver valuable solutions that address customer's needs. This latest Winter release is another example of Materialise' commitment to provide its customers with a competitive edge by enabling them to improve productivity and quality and to reduce lead times. New developments and enhancements have been added to the different Materialise software products: Magics, Magics Tooling, Magics Tooling Expert and Mimics.
For example, in the latest version of Magics, the best STL handling and manipulation software currently available, the OptiLOM module has further been enhanced. With this OptiLOM module, LOM users can maximise the use of their machine as they are provided with an innovative technology for waste removal. Two new methods to design the 'mould' of waste material have been added, enabling the user to choose the method that allows for the easiest waste removal for each specific part. A striking novelty implemented in the new Magics Tooling Expert 1.25 are the translated terminology lists. Magics Tooling is most innovative software enabling you to automate your tool quoting process clearly and quickly. Materialise made it possible to edit the labels and terms used in the software's pricing step to meet the needs of toolmakers. In addition, fully translated lists of the terms have been added to the software. Now, every toolmaker can integrate his personal terminology into Magics Tooling Expert. Of course, you can still edit the lists to reflect the terminology you use daily in your own tool shop.
The latest updates in Materialise' 3D image-processing software, Mimics, include export of ASCII STL and DXF files, extended import possibilities and a 'largest shell reduction' function to remove small inclusions. Find out more on the company's web site: http://www.materialise.com
