NEW LEAFLET ON IMAGE TRANSFER BY SUBLIMATION TECHNOLOGY: TURNING DUPONT™ CORIAN® TURN INTO A WORK OF ART
29 October 2004 - DuPont Engineering Polymers
| As many designers have been discovering, the extraordinary versatility of DuPont™ Corian® makes it a material limited only by the imagination. |
Since its invention by the scientists of DuPont, the sculptural and translucent qualities of Corian® have been inspiring many creative applications…and now, thanks to new digital printing techniques referred as , “image transfer by sublimation,” Corian® can become the ultimate “canvas” on which to reproduce a personal artistic vision. These techniques are explained in the new leaflet 'Image transfer by sublimation on DuPont™ Corian®', available from DuPont Surfaces network in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The leaflet 'Image transfer by sublimation on DuPont™ Corian® ' (code number L-13165) is available in English language either in printed or digital form. It can be requested in the contact us area of www.corian.com (web site available in a variety of languages spoken in Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific). Designers who have recently explored this new technology include Rosita Missoni, and Christian Ghion. Christian Ghion has recently created a stunning table printed with a white and red pattern, while Rosita Missoni has designed table trays decorated with highly stylish flower patterns. Invented by DuPont in their Research & Development laboratories, DuPont™ Corian® is used in a wide range of residential, commercial, furniture and specialty applications. It is a non-porous solid surface material that is stain-resistant, easy to clean, durable, renewable, repairable and recyclable. Available in about 100 standard colours, Corian® can be shaped into virtually any conceivable design. Scratches are easily removed without marring its beauty and uniformity of colour.
