| Guangdong Yuedong Magnetoelectric Co. Limited is one of the first movers in China in the CD-R and DVD-R replication business”, proudly states Yuedong’s management, “Now, with over 1,100 staff, we are one of the biggest players.” |
”Axxicon itself is also considered somewhat of a pioneer in our business, due its own early entry in support of China’s replication market”, he continues. “Axxicon actually had a presence in China as early as 1998, when CD-R replication was in its infancy. In effect, we consider ourselves to be two of a kind with them, and accordingly we have become the largest user of their moulds”, he continues. “They are well-known, and many of our peers consider it a good brand.” “Our special relationship allows us to challenge Axxicon with technological issues, and as a result we have an envied technical exchange with Axxicon’s headquarters in the Netherlands”, he adds. Indeed, Guangdong Yuedong maintains a close interaction with Axxicon at all levels, and Axxicon’s president and general manager, and engineers conduct regular visits to Guangdong Yuedong. “The performance of the recently installed new Axxicon moulds for DVD-R 16x gives us excellent stable resultsin respect of FE / TE values and ECC values, achieved with the assistance of Axxicon engineers in testing and fine-tuning our production lines, we now prefer it to the products of, say, its Japanese competitors, because of clear advantages”, explains Mr. Ma. “The advantages of the Axxicon product are in its simple maintenance and ease of operation”, he offers. “Though Axxicon’s presence in Hong Kong is appreciated, we hope to see even closer cooperation with Guangdong Yuedong, starting with a physical presence in China”, adds Mr. Ma. “With our history together to date, I don’t see why that should not happen in due course.”
