Molykote now offers price quotes for lubrication testing services in the Americas and Europe from its website, www.molykote.com Customers can quickly receive a quote by simply clicking on a desired test, then indicate the type of material, test method and test conditions to be used. The customer can then send a sample of their grease, coating, paste or oil to Dow Corning and have test results within one to seven days of delivery. The Molykote Lubrication Testing Service saves time and money for plant engineers by performing a series of mechanical and physical tests to help to determine proper lubrication selection, identify performance standards and specifications, and establish a performance benchmark. The tests measure friction and wear; density; corrosion inhibiting properties against water, salt spray; water spray off or washout; and resistance to flow, among others.
