LLOYD INSTRUMENTS’ REVOLUTIONARY NEW MULTI-LINGUAL SOFTWARE INTERFACE DEMONSTRATED AT EMBALLAGE
02 July 2007 - Lloyd Instruments
| NEXYGENPlus, Lloyd Instruments’ revolutionary new multi-lingual software interface, will be demonstrated at Emballage, providing control for the LRXPlus and LFPlus universal materials testing machines on show on the AMETEK S.A.S stand. |
NEXYGENPlus acts as the hub of the materials testing system, linking all components together to allow the operator to control and monitor all aspects of the system from a single interface. It has been designed for use with Lloyd Instruments’ entire range of ‘Plus’ and EZ materials testing machines (1kN-300kN). The versatility of NEXYGENPlus is essential for the testing of packaging due to the varying requirements within industries such as pharmaceutical, medical devices, cosmetics, food and beverages. NEXYGENPlus is supplied complete with an extensive built-in library of test methods covering ASTM, DIN, EN, ISO and other standards. In addition to its extremely simple set-up and usage, NEXYGENPlus has enormous underlying power. This is characterised by its extraordinary versatility, for setting up user-specific tests, creating a unique user interface and acquiring, displaying, reporting and exporting results. This ensures fast, reliable and powerful testing and data analysis for tensile, compression, peeling, tearing, creep, relaxation, friction, penetration, delamination, flexural applications and more. Procedures can be automated through macro routines and an additional communications port allows the system to be linked with or triggered by external equipment and systems allowing tests to be integrated into company production line control systems. In addition, the software includes a video capture and still photograph capture system. Traceability and high data integrity are provided by integral security and audit trails. The security and audit trail module, supplied as standard, allows systems to be configured to help manufacturers meet FDA 21 CFR Part 11 electronic signatures regulations. The video capture capability allows a camera to be linked into the system so that a close-up of the test can be displayed on the screen together with the test graph, as the test is carried out. The photograph capture facility allows individual images of the sample clamped in the test jig to be captured during the test and used in post-test analysis. This also lets the operator check that the sample is mounted properly and the image can also be accompanied by some useful text information to guide the operator. The comprehensive data handling and reporting capabilities of NEXYGENPlus allow results to be exported directly into other packages such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook or Statistical Process Control packages in a variety of formats. Data export can be set up to occur completely automatically, there is no need to view the results first. A variety of reporting formats can be set up for different colleagues or suppliers who may need to view the results. This lets information from a particular test or batch of tests to be reported in the most appropriate way for individuals or groups.
