FLUSH-MOUNTED WINDOWS FOR STEEL FACADES SUPPLIED BY THYSSENKRUPP HOESCH BAUSYSTEME GMBH
23 June 2007 - ThyssenKrupp Steel
| ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme GmbH now supplies complete window frames for its isowand integral construction elements. Developed in cooperation with a window manufacturer, the frames are made of thermal break aluminum profiles precisely tailored to the specific joint geometry and dimensions of the isowand integral elements. This allows both single and strip windows to be flush-mounted in steel facades. |
With the new window frames, ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme has set new architectural standards in steel facade construction. Because of the lack of suitable frame systems in the past, projecting or recessed window frames have generally been used, but these do little to enhance the harmonious appearance of the facade. The new frames from ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme not only allow the production of high-quality steel facades in uniform design, they are generally also quicker and easier to install than conventional solutions. The pre-fabricated frames can also be retrofitted in existing facades. The new frame is available for isowand integral elements of all thicknesses: 60, 80, 100 and 120 millimeters. The frame profiles each comprise an exterior and an interior section which are separated by plastic breaks to prevent thermal bridges. The frames are available in virtually every color and different colors may be selected for the interior and exterior of the frame. In addition to the standard fixed glazing, turn-tilt windows are also available. The lightweight isowand integral facade elements from ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme offer excellent thermal insulation. Available with microprofiled or smooth finishes, the elements can be mounted on the facade substructure with concealed clamps which are not visible from the outside. The steel cover sheets are finished with the zinc/aluminum alloy GALFAN and coated with a plastic film from the PLADUR range.
