PINCH-RESISTANT SECTIONAL DOOR ELEMENTS EXHIBITED BY THYSSENKRUPP HOESCH BAUSYSTEME GMBH
09 July 2007 - ThyssenKrupp Steel
| ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme GmbH exhibited pinch-resistant sectional door elements at Bau. The system has been patented for ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme and can be used easily by any door manufacturer to produce safe garage and industrial doors. |
At the same time ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme has introduced new coatings, new design finishes and an extended color range for its sectional door elements. The patented anti-pinch system is available for sectional door elements from the Sectiotec plus range. It features tongue and groove joints in which the tongue is rounded and longer than on conventional elements. This design prevents gaps from being created when closing the door in which fingers may be trapped. Further advantages: the anti-pinch system also works on the inside of the elements, and, thanks to the special design, the hinges can be mounted on two back-to-back steel plates for added stability. ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme GmbH has been producing sectional door elements for over 26 years and is one of the pioneers in the sector. In addition to the Sectiotec plus range, the company also offers its Sectiotec range with conventional tongue and groove joints. The elements in both ranges comprise two steel outer sheets firmly bonded to a rigid polyurethane foam core. The outer sheets are coated with the zinc-aluminum alloy GALFAN and an additional paint coat. For the latter, the company is also launching new product variants: the elements are now available with a wrinkle coating which has a rough texture similar to a ceramic surface. The wrinkle coating is less sensitive to dirt and easier to clean than conventional matt coatings. A further innovation for ThyssenKrupp Hoesch Bausysteme’s sectional door elements is an easy-to-clean coating, a clear coating applied to the standard paint coat ensures that the sectional door elements are very easy to clean and even insensitive to graffiti. The clear coating contains an additive with hydrophobic properties, i.e. it is water-repellent. Also new: the Sectiotec and Sectiotec plus elements are now available with new V-profiled and micro-profiled textured finishes. Still available are the stucco, flat and wood grain textures, each available in grooved and non-grooved design. The stucco finish is also available in V-profiled design.
