ALCAN SUPPORTS INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE WITH JEUNE CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE MONTREAL

It is in this spirit that Alcan is partnering with the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal for the 30th edition of the ARISTA Competition, which rewards excellence and the innovative essence of young businesspeople in Quebec,” said Jacynthe Côté, President and Chief Executive Officer, Alcan Bauxite and Alumina. “It’s a win-win situation, by supporting tomorrow’s young business leaders, Alcan is contributing to the development of a pioneering talent base for the business community as well as its own future,” added Côté. “The Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal is proud and appreciative to be supported by an internationally-renowned organization such as Alcan. This support attests to the importance that Alcan places on the development of the ground-breaking leaders of tomorrow,” said France-Éliane Nolet, President of the JCCM. The ARISTA Competition celebrates the talent and success of young managers, professionals, self-employed workers and entrepreneurs. Through Alcan’s initiative, the new award category will recognize the creativity of young businesspeople in “shaping a better future.” The JCCM is an association of young executives, professionals, entrepreneurs and self-employed business people under the age of 40. Founded in 1931, it represents some 1,400 members, whose average age is 32. Its mission is to foster the professional and personal development of young businesspeople in Montreal, to promote their interests and to contribute to the vitality of the environment in which they evolve. The JCCM is a premier meeting place for those who want to make a difference and take active part in the discussions that shape the future of society.
