CIFUNSA ADDS ARENA-FLOW SOFTWARE FROM ASHLAND TO IMPROVE PRODUCTION PROCESS

Cinfunsa, a Saltillo, Mexico-based foundry, has added Arena-flow software from Ashland Casting Solutions to their production methods. Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group of Ashland Performance Materials, a division of Ashland Inc., is the exclusive marketing agent for Arena-flow design software.

“The revolutionary technology used in Arena-flow will help Cifunsa design their tooling ‘right the first time’ and optimize their core production process,” said Mike Swartzlander, general manager, Ashland Casting Solutions, and vice president, Ashland Performance Materials.

“Cinfunsa purchased a perpetual license for Arena-flow software,” said Nigel Yeomans, project manager for Ashland Casting Solutions’ Design Center. “In addition to this license, Ashland Casting Solutions consultants will be working closely with Cinfunsa by providing technical support for the software and helping them to optimize their production methods.”

Arena-flow technology was developed by Arena-flow, LLC of Albuquerque, N.M., in conjunction with General Motors, NASA, the Department of Energy and most recently, Ashland Casting Solutions. Arena-flow computer-aided engineering software technology can be accessed by software license agreements as well as contract engineering projects conducted in Ashland Casting Solutions’ Design Services Center.
