Bayer MaterialScience AG and Pearl Insulation Materials Industries LLC had invited customers and representatives of authorities in the Middle East region to celebrate the launch of BaySystems Pearl, the newly established polyurethane systems house joint venture of both companies in Dubai. The new systems house will operate under the strategic leadership of Bayer MaterialScience and will be integrated in its global BaySystems network of systems houses.

´Two great companies joining hands` was the motto of this informative event, which was attended by approximately 160 guests. “The Middle East Region will play a crucial role for our future business. We want to be the supplier of choice for customers in this fast developing region and will become a leading full service provider of customized polyurethanes in the Middle East”, said Peter Vanacker, Head of the Polyurethanes Business Unit of Bayer MaterialScience. Feroz Saleem, Managing Director of Pearl Insulation Materials Industries and designated Managing Director of BaySystems Pearl, added: “BaySystems Pearl will cater to its customers´ needs in this region with a customized and flexible service and will be right on their doorstep. We are looking to attract more customers to develop long strategic partnerships.” Customers of BaySystems Pearl will also benefit from support provided by the newly established innovation center of Bayer MaterialScience in Dubai.

Polyurethane systems houses provide ready-to-use polyurethane systems for the manufacture of heat-insulating foams in the construction, refrigeration, and hot water sectors and many special applications in the automotive, footwear, and sports equipment industries. The global network of some 20 systems houses of Bayer MaterialScience is operated under the umbrella brand BaySystems, which stands for a new global customer service quality standard. These systems houses offer customer-specific product portfolios in their particular regions. By working closely together with customers they can also accelerate the market launch of polyurethane innovations.
