ASHLAND HOLDS SEMINAR SERIES FOR METAL CASTERS
28 October 2004 - Ashland Inc

Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group within Ashland Specialty Chemical, a division of Ashland Inc., recently completed its fall training seminars with great success and nearly 70 attendees.

The seminars were held Sept. 28-30, 2004, at Ashland Specialty Chemical's headquarters in Dublin, Ohio, and touched on cold box and no-bake technologies. An international mix of professionals from the metal casting industry were in attendance, including foundry managers and superintendents, core-room and mold-line supervisors and operators and quality control professionals.

'We are pleased to have had nearly 70 people from our industry attend this round of seminars,' said Mike Swartzlander, vice president, Ashland Specialty Chemical, and general manager, Ashland Casting Solutions. 'This is an opportunity for Ashland's highly skilled professionals to provide training at a time when new personnel are entering the industry and to continue to provide solutions to meet our customers' needs.'

A previous series of seminars was held May 18-20, 2004. Led by Ashland experts from around the globe, the seminars are designed to help metal casters improve quality, productivity, cost efficiency and to help attendees take advantage of the latest improvements in core- and mold-making practices.
