GALLOWAY NAMED APAC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Galloway is responsible for APAC's communications planning and execution, including brand management and positioning, employee communications, media relations, advertising and collateral material, web content, trade shows and related activities. 'APAC and Ashland are delighted to have Deborah join us,' said Garry M. Higdem, APAC president, and president and chief operating officer, Transportation Construction Sector, Ashland Inc. 'She has a broad range of communications skills that will be important assets to us as we implement APAC's strategic plan, and I am personally looking forward to working closely with her.' Galloway most recently served as manager of global marketing communications for the specialty plastics division of Eastman Chemical Company (Kingsport, Tenn.). She has experience in the construction industry as director of communications for Space Master International (Atlanta, Ga.). Her background also includes a position as director of marketing for American Network Services, a support network for the legal profession, and various posts with Atlanta-based advertising and public relations agencies. She received bachelor's and master's degrees from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. The APAC group of companies operates in 14 Southern and Midwestern states. APAC's assets consist of 96 aggregate production facilities, including 35 permanent operating quarry locations; 31 ready-mix concrete plants; 239 hot-mix asphalt plants; and more than 15,000 pieces of mobile equipment. The APAC companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Ashland Inc.
