BLAIR BOGGS PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING, VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE (VIOC)

| Blair Boggs has been promoted to vice president, marketing, for the Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) unit of Valvoline, according to John Wesley, president of VIOC. He was previously director of brand management in Valvoline's DIY marketing group. |
Boggs joined Valvoline, a division of Ashland Inc., in June of 2002 as director of marketing. He was formerly senior brand manager with Kraft Foods. Boggs received his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and his undergraduate degree in accounting from Indiana University. 'I'm very excited to have someone with Blair's brand experience and previous consumer marketing background on our team,' says Wesley. 'He will be a perfect fit for our organization.' 'We’re proud of Blair and we believe his track record is outstanding,' said Rolf Linder, VP brand marketing. 'Over the past two years, his leadership of business-building initiatives has created exciting growth opportunities across Valvoline’s DIY (do-it-yourself) and DIFM (do-it-for-me) businesses.' Boggs will remain in Lexington, Ky., and report to Wesley.
