ASHLAND INTRODUCES NEW FOAM SAMPLE TEST KIT WITH ANALYSIS

International regulations require fire fighting foam to be periodically analyzed and certified. Drew Marine, recognized by the marine industry as a world leader in providing shipboard technical services and supplies, is now expanding its capabilities to include fire fighting foam analysis that is in accordance with international requirements.

The Drew Marine Safety 'Foam Sample Kit with Analysis' includes everything needed to collect and send a foam sample from anywhere in the world to Drew Marine's certified laboratories. Results are generally available one week after receipt, and certificates can be sent electronically, allowing both the vessel and home office to quickly receive the required documentation.

'Our customers want an organized method of collecting and analyzing fire fighting foam samples, and it is crucial that samples be analyzed by a reputable lab, no matter where a ship is located. We developed our foam analysis program in response to our customers' needs and in accordance with IMO guidelines,' says Karen Bourneuf, marketing specialist for the Fire Fighting, Safety and Rescue group at Drew Marine.
