PRITCHARD NAMED CUSTOMER SUPPORT MANAGER FOR ASHLAND CASTING SOLUTIONS

| Timothy C. Pritchard has been named customer support manager for Ashland Casting Solutions, a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical. |
In this new position, Pritchard will be responsible for Casting Solutions' Customer Support Services in North America, including the import and export business managed from the group's North American manufacturing facilities. Additionally, he will serve as the strategic information technology interface with Ashland Specialty's IT group. Based in Dublin, Ohio, he reports to Philip D. Lepianka, director of sales - Americas, for Ashland Casting Solutions. Pritchard replaces Stephanie Smith who has joined Ashland's GlobalOne Team. The GlobalOne Team is responsible for implementing the company's new global Enterprise Resource Planning system for Ashland's chemicals sector, which consists of Ashland Distribution, Ashland Specialty Chemical and Valvoline. 'Tim's experience within Ashland Specialty Chemical, as well as his extensive background in IT, will help ensure that Casting Solutions offers consistent and reliable customer service to all of its customers, even as he transitions into his new role,' stated Lepianka. 'Stephanie Smith was an excellent customer support leader, who helped to build the strong customer service reputation Casting Solutions enjoys today. She will be a great asset to the GlobalOne Team as it implements Ashland's new global enterprise resource planning system. ' Pritchard joined Ashland in November of 2000 as an information technology business analyst. He most recently was an information technology business specialist for Specialty Polymers & Adhesives, also a business group of Ashland Specialty Chemical. Prior to joining Ashland, he was a services manager for the SARCOM team servicing Ashland's account. Pritchard served in the United States Air Force.
