ASHLAND INC. NAMES DUNCAN METHANOL PRODUCT MANAGER

| Ashland Distribution Company (ADC), a division of Ashland Inc., has announced that Garrett 'Mac' Duncan has joined its Source Management group as product manager for methanol. |
In his new role, Duncan will be responsible for leading North American sourcing efforts and managing supplier relationships as they pertain to ADC's methanol business. He will be based in Dublin, Ohio, and report to John Kirchner, director of Source Management, Chemicals, for ADC. Kirchner said, 'We are excited to have Mac join our Chemicals Source Management team. His experience with logistics and supply chain initiatives will strengthen our efforts to effectively support our methanol strategy, improve efficiencies and increase the level of customer and supplier satisfaction.' Duncan previously served as the quality process manager for ADC. He joined Ashland in 1996 as a plant supervisor in Charlotte, N.C. During his tenure, he has served as plant manager at several ADC plants in Pennsylvania, including Conshohocken, Aston and Morrisville. He also has served as a process manager for ADC. A native of Ashland, Ky., Duncan earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Vanderbilt University and a master's degree in management from Webster University.
