STAFF CONSULTANT TO PROVIDE COMPLEX TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO CUSTOMERS

Ashland Casting Solutions has named 35-year casting industry veteran, Tom Wade, to the position of Senior Principal Consultant. In this new role, Wade will provide customers around the world with complex technical assistance, including capability assessments, process optimization and tooling design.

'Tom's extensive background in metal casting practices and processes will enable our global customers to seamlessly integrate new products and processes into their operations, which will allow them to realize significant bottom line results even more quickly,' said Greg MacIver, global marketing director, Casting Solutions.

In his 24 years of service with Ashland, Wade has held numerous technical positions within Casting Solutions, including technical service manager and engineering manager. While in those roles, Wade was instrumental in launching Casting Solutions' well-known ISOCUREŽ cold box process. Most recently he served as the group's regional sales manager for the Midwest. Prior to Ashland, Wade worked in a high-volume foundry serving the automotive industry.

Wade has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Findlay Engineering Technical College and has completed additional coursework in business administration at Bowling Green State University.
