ASHLAND CASTING SOLUTIONS NAMES GLOBAL MARKETING MANAGERS FOR MAJOR PRODUCT LINES

Ashland Casting Solutions today announced the promotions of Dana Cooper to global marketing manager, Sleeves and Filters, and David Gilson to global marketing manager, Cold Box Systems.

In her new role, Cooper is charged with leading Ashland Casting Solutions' rapidly- growing EXACTCAST® riser sleeves business, as well as growing its ceramic filters business globally.

A metal casting industry veteran, Gilson will now develop and implement strategies for worldwide cold box growth.

'Casting Solutions is combining its global manufacturing and support capabilities with an ever-expanding and technically sophisticated product offering to ensure that we can add value to our customers throughout the metal casting process and throughout the world,' said Greg MacIver, global marketing director, Ashland Casting Solutions. 'Dana's background as a top-performing plant manager and chemical engineer and Dave's metal casting and international business experience will help Casting Solutions to achieve this goal through their respective roles.'

Cooper's prior role was as plant manager at Casting Solutions' Cleveland East facility. She also served as a plant operations manager at the group's Cleveland West facility and as a process engineer. Cooper earned a master's degree in business administration, with emphasis in operations management and marketing, from Cleveland State University, and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University.

Previously, Gilson was business manager, Ashland Casting Solutions - Mexico. He also served in roles at Ashland Chemical USA as technical service manager, technical service representative and staff scientist. Gilson received a master's degree in business administration, with an emphasis in international business, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (U.S), and a bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
