APAC'S TROTTI & THOMSON BUSINESS UNIT AWARDED $24.8 MILLION TEXAS HIGHWAY PROJECT

| APAC, Inc. today announced that its Trotti & Thomson business unit has been awarded a $24.8 million contract by the Texas Department of Transportation for work on U.S. Highway 69 in Jefferson County near Beaumont. |
The project includes construction and replacement of 2.78 miles of main-lane and frontage roads. The APAC unit also will build two new bridges and widen two existing structures. The road surfaces will consist primarily of 275,000 square yards of concrete paving over a cement-treated base and a hot-mix bond breaker, according to Stephen Koonce, president of Beaumont-based Trotti & Thomson. APAC, Inc. is the nation's premier transportation construction company. Operating in 14 Southern and Midwestern states, the company's assets include 35 quarries, 61 aggregate production facilities, 65 ready-mix concrete plants, 239 hot-mix asphalt plants and more than 15,000 pieces of mobile equipment.
