The new GTSW welder upgrades the familiar Drew Marine AMERARC I-400 GTS DC welder, with the added benefits of 'Square Wave' AC output, the ideal, practical mode for TIG welding aluminum, and adjustable balance control. It is lightweight, compact and portable, measuring 420mm x 210mm x 430mm and weighs 30.5 kg. 'We've implemented True Square Wave technology in a compact unit which allows increased portability, efficiency, and safety onboard,' notes Rich Mansmann, marketing manager for welding and refrigeration products at Drew Marine. Additional AMERARC I-300 GTSW features include a selector switch for choosing AC or DC operation, elimination of ship's electronics interference, low amp TIG Performance, precise pulse control, SMART LOGIC1 for input voltage protection, EASY-LINK1 for convenient location of panel switch for correct voltage input, and Start Control for either Lift-TIG or High Frequency Start. The AMERARC I-400 MSTW Multipurpose Inverter Arc Welding Machine features shielded metal arc (SMAW-Stick), gas tungsten arc (GTAW-TIG), metal active gas welding (MAG-MIG), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). It weighs only 29 kg, measures 420 mm x 220mm x 430 mm, and operates on input power between 200-575 volts, and 50/60 Hz. 'Along with the GTSW welder, the MSTW welder sets the industry standard as a convenient, portable, adaptable unit that enables increased safety, efficiency, and productivity in shipboard welding processes,' Mansmann says. The MSTW welder updates the Drew Marine AMERARC GMS 400 arc welder. It allows adjustments for hot starting, hot current and arc control in the SMAW mode, inductance and material selection for GMAW welder, and pulse and slope controls for GTAW welder. Five welding programs can be saved for standard applications.
