ASHLAND CASTING SOLUTIONS AND ESI GROUP TO OFFER CASTING SIMULATION SOFTWARE AND SERVICES

The parties will market ProCAST casting simulation software, a fully integrated design tool in the CAD/CAE chain. ProCAST is a completely modular package that can be adapted to the analysis of any shape casting process, for any alloy.

'Designed for shape casting, the product enables the designer to visualize the effects of design decisions on the computer, and make critical up-front decisions. We are delighted to team with Ashland in the delivery of this valuable tool to the market.'

Ashland and ESI Group plan to market the ProCAST software and joint services in North American and European markets, and develop common technology to support the foundry industry. As a first step, the Ashland Global Casting Solutions Technical Center in Dublin, Ohio, will be equipped with the ESI Group ProCAST solution and material databases. The tool will be enriched with proprietary data from Ashland.
