DREW MARINE ANNOUNCES INTRODUCTION OF FERROCLEAN CLEANING AGENT

FERROCLEAN is a patented, water-based cleaner for the removal of iron oxides, mineral scale, and oil contamination from aluminum, brass, copper, mild steel, and stainless steel components. FERROCLEAN cleaning agent safely and effectively removes iron oxides without the hazards and metal loss associated with using strong acid solutions. FERROCLEAN cleaning agent provides a passivating film to protect the base metal from corrosion or flash rusting.

'This unique product is a more effective oil remover and rust dissolver than AMEROID® OSC one-step cleaner,' says Doug Gaeta, Drew Marine Product Manager. 'There is no other product like FERROCLEAN cleaning agent on the market.'

Gaeta adds, 'FERROCLEAN's dosage is half that of AMEROID® OSC cleaner, making it easier to store and more cost effective per use. Consequently, FERROCLEAN cleaning agent replaces AMEROID OSC one-step cleaner in Drew Marine's product lineup.'

After the cleaning process has been completed using FERROCLEAN cleaning agent, the system should be drained and thoroughly flushed with fresh water. A quality corrosion inhibitor, such as MAXIGARD® diesel engine treatment, LIQUIDEWTTM cooling water treatment, or DEWT® NC diesel engine water treatment should then be immediately used to protect the system.
