ASHLAND SPECIALTY CHEMICAL COMPANY’S DREW INDUSTRIAL BUSINESS ANNOUNCES REVOLUTIONARY, NEW DEFOAMER FOR PAINTS AND INDUSTRIAL COATINGS
22 January 2003 - Ashland Inc

Ashland Specialty Chemical Company’s Drew Industrial business announces the introduction of DREWPLUS TS-4481 defoamer for water-based coatings.

The product provides highly effective antifoaming properties in the wet film with a revolutionary dissolution effect during drying. DREWPLUS TS-4481 defoamer exhibits outstanding macro and micro foam control during processing and application of the coating, promoting the dissolution of remaining air back into water-based coatings during the drying process.

This dissolution of remaining air occurs even when the film is set to the touch. Based on this unique combination of micro and macro foam control technologies, DREWPLUS TS-4481 reduces coating failures due to air entrainment and helps improve early water resistance, mechanical properties, clarity and gloss of the coating.
