OSBORNE OF ASHLAND INC. NAMED AUDIT DIRECTOR
Osborne's promotion follows on the Dec. 2 announcement that William A. Kosto, formerly assistant general auditor, had been promoted to general auditor. Osborne joined Ashland Inc. in 1981 as an associate auditor in the internal audit department, in Ashland, Ky. In July 1984 he was promoted to senior auditor. He relocated to Lexington, KY in 1990 and was promoted again to audit supervisor in 1992. In July 2000, he was promoted to audit manager of Ashland's internal audit group. A native of Ironton, Ohio, Osborne earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Marshall University in 1979, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Cincinnati in 1981. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and is currently Treasurer of the Central Kentucky Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
