The AUTOFLEX™ range are embossable and formable hardcoat films for manufacture of In-Mold Decoration components.

AUTOFLEX™ EBG is a hardcoat Polyester suitable for cost effective embossing and shallow form applications, such as telephone lenses and other components where a tough resilient finish is required on a gently formed part. AUTOFLEX™ EBG can also support integrated Membrane Touch Switches. This product has been successfully test-marketed in Asia and major manufacturers have already adopted this material for IMD lens applications in the telecommunications, electronics and computer markets.

AUTOFLEX AutoForm™ is a hardcoated Polycarbonate film suitable for gently formed parts where it is important that micro-cracking is avoided. AUTOFLEX AutoForm™ has good embossing forming and hardness characteristics and for shallow draw applications avoids micro-cracking.

AUTOFLEX HiForm™ is a formable hardcoat Polycarbonate film where deeper forming is required. This product combines formability with an improved scratch resistance over any of the base film and resin materials available today. It also has an ability to recover from light scratching, the sort caused by scratching in the daily use of many consumer products.

AUTOFLEX XtraForm™ is designed for the deepest form applications where extra hardness must be combined with formability. Already specified with leading edge companies, this material gives designers new freedom in the way in which they can implement In-Mold Decoration projects and is particularly suited to automotive interior panels and telephone and electronic casings.

All of the films have a range of selective texturing lacquers available to enhance and customise the aesthetic properties of the component, allowing short-run flexibility without significant increases in costs due to additional tool design.
