MORGAN TO UPGRADE MOROCCAN ROD MILL

Morgan Construction Company has received a contract from Groupe Sonasid, headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, to upgrade the company's double-strand rod mill.

Neil Gow, Sales Manager, who announced the contract, explains, 'The upgrade consists of modifications to both the roughing mill stands and the No-Twist® Mill, which will increase the capacity of the Nador plant to roll larger billets at an increased output.

'When completed, the upgrade, in combination with other equipment additions they have made, will enable Sonasid to increase its production output on key products by as much as 25%.'

The upgrade is expected to be completed by August 2004.
