MORGAN COMMISSIONS BYELORUSSIAN UPGRADE
19 November 2001 - Morgan Construction Company

Morgan Construction Company, through its subsidiary Morgan-Europe of Sheffield, England, has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of the first phase of the modernization to the one-strand wire rod outlet at the Byelorussian Steelworks (BMZ), in Zhlobin, Republic of Belarus.

According to Steve Lidgate, managing director, Morgan-Europe, 'This project was of particular importance to Morgan as it represented the company's first such effort jointly undertaken by consortium partners, Morgan-Europe and Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau GmbH & Co. (VAI) of Linz Austria.'

He added, 'We believe that the successful completion of the project was recognized as a platform for future developments and projects, not only with BMZ, but also with other potential customers within the Commonwealth of Independent States (C.I.S).'

The upgrade included the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of waterboxes, temperature control system, StelmorŪ modifications, horizontal compactor, and ring distributor.
