HIGH TEMPERATURE ALLOY STRIP FOR CRITICAL PARTS REQUIRING HIGH STRENGTH, RESISTANCE TO HEAT AND CORROSION
22 November 2002 - Carpenter Technology Corporation
| Carpenter Technology Corp. is now offering a full line of aerospace and high temperature alloys in strip form for use in making critical parts and components that require heat resistance in environments up to 2000°F (1093°C), high strength and corrosion resistance. |
The strip can be considered for dozens of new and established applications in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical, nuclear, power generation, ordnance, petroleum and general industrial. Candidate applications include aerospace fasteners, turbine blades, jet engine components, heat shields, mechanical seals, flexible bellows, stampings, medical stents and tubing, heat treating equipment, furnace curtains, exhaust systems, power generation parts, weld overlays, weapon systems, nuclear power components, etc. Carpenter is currently producing strip in the following high temperature and specialty performance alloys: Pyromet® Alloy A-286, Pyromet Alloy 718, Pyromet Alloy X-750, Carpenter Waspaloy, MP35N Alloy*, Carpenter C-276 Alloy, NiMark® Alloy 250, NiMark Alloy 300, Pyromet Alloy 600, Pyromet Alloy 601, Pyromet Alloy 625, Pyromet Alloy 680, Pyromet Alloy 350, Pyromet Alloy CTX-909. * registered trademark of SPS Technologies The specialty alloys producer is currently making these grades in strip that is 0.003' to 0.240' thick and in widths from 3/8' to 13˝', depending on the alloy. Strip can be provided in tempered or annealed condition.
