DISTRUPOL CONTINUES TO INVEST IN SUPPORT OF DUPONT DISTRIBUTORSHIP
Distrupol, a member company of Univar and a leading European polymer distributor, technical service and solutions provider, continues to strengthen its sector leadership by investing in people. While increasing the overall strength of Distrupol’s professional team, the latest appointments announced by the company reinforce support for the DuPont Engineering Polymers product range, for which Distrupol was recently awarded the exclusive distribution contract for the UK and Ireland. Newly appointed Commercial Manager Andrew Canning has responsibility for all aspects of distribution relating to DuPont Engineering Polymers as well as for its Packaging and Industrial Products. In his wider role within Distrupol, Canning, who holds an Honours Degree in Materials Science & Business Studies, also heads the company’s Internal Sales and Customer Service departments. According to Gerry Moore, Managing Director, Distrupol UK: “We see customer support as an intrinsic part of our commercial operation. By bringing them together under the same management supervision we aim to ensure the unification of first class service and best practice. Part of Andrew’s challenge will be to maintain Distrupol’s positioning as the first-choice partner both for customers and suppliers.” The appointment of Jamie King as Account Manager, West Midlands, adds a further resource to the Distrupol sales organisation. King, who holds a Degree in Polymer Science and Technology, takes over management of a significant customer group previously handled by Richard Orme prior to his promotion to Sales Manager, Midlands and Northern UK. Says Moore: “The ongoing expansion of the Distrupol team is a reflection of business growth and, importantly, a demonstration of our commitment to deliver the highest level of qualified technical support currently available to customers.'
