430 SUMMER WORKERS SOON IN PLACE

'There are many qualified applicants so it has been, and still is a tough job to find the right person for the right position,' says Tatjana Mineur, one of the recruiters in Employee Services. 'This year there are more “returnees” than usual that have applied.'

'Every recruitment takes at least an hour and it takes some time before we’ve managed to find the right position for everyone,' says Tatjana Mineur. 'Approximately 240 of the summer recruits start as early as April or May.'

'Last year we had a survey done to find out what the summer workers thought of their jobs. Approximately 90 percent of those included in the survey wanted to return to SSAB due to having great work-mates.'
