STUDENTS AT SSAB OXELÖSUND
08 December 2003 - SSAB Oxelosund
| During this past fall we have welcomed many students from different schools in the region here at SSAB Oxelösund.

12 PRAO-students (practical work orientation) from local primary schools have learned about everything from wet chemical analysis of raw materials in our labs, to lathing and blasting in our workshops. The company’s supervisors have instructed over 50 APU-students (workplace education) from three different high schools. The students have had the opportunity to use their theoretical and practical skills for real, but have also gained new experiences. We have also received 5 students from the local KY-school (certified trade), specialized on industrial process and maintenance. They have completed some of their practical elements at our rolling mill and at Merox. In our efforts towards colleges and universities we have received a number of one-day education visits, as well as a number of university students who have worked on projects in cooperation with our engineers. In addition, we have had 10 students working on their degree theses during the past few months. They have among other things researched production, finance, marketing, development and logistics. As school contacts at SSAB Oxelösund we are very pleased that so many are interested in our company. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
