BAYER POLYMERS LAUNCHES NEW POLYASPARTIC COATINGS TECHNOLOGY WEB SITE
15 February 2004 - Bayer MaterialScience AG

Bayer Polymers has launched a new Web site to help coatings and paint formulators customize and use polyaspartics coatings technology.

The site is designed to provide 24/7 solutions to the choices one must make when selecting/developing protective coatings for industrial and commercial structures in harsh environmental and/or heavy wear conditions.

The Web address is www.PolyasparticCoatings.com.

The Web site features Formulator Guides, which visitors who register can use as a starting point to develop a polyaspartic coating tailored to deliver desired performance criteria for a specific application. In addition, the site provides examples of polyaspartic coatings applications, such as tough direct-to-metal railcar coatings, hard-wearing flooring topcoats, and coatings for bridges, tunnels and light poles that offer long life in harsh environment conditions. It also offers downloadable brochures, Product Information Bulletins and MSD Sheets, as well as links to technical papers that provide detailed information on polyaspartic coatings technology.

Carl Angeloff, Manager, Market Development-Construction Coatings for Bayer, played a key role in the development of the Web site. 'We've created this site to be used as a 24/7 source of information about this new technology,' he explained. 'It will also work as a formulary tool to develop a custom coating from Bayer technology that will deliver specific performance criteria for a specific application.'
