The site, the jewel of Bayer's BayCare Progressive Product Stewardship Program, has been exclusively designed to offer Bayer's polymers and chemicals customers a resource center for information relating to the safe handling of these products throughout the product life cycle. Features include: BayCare Alerts! that inform customers in advance of issues which can affect the industry; An Electronic MSDS feature that allows customers to easily retrieve the latest Material Safety Data Sheets for Bayer's products; A Bulletin Board highlighting Bayer's current product stewardship activities; A Legislative Corner devoted to providing current information about legislation that affects the polyurethanes industry; Examples of Excellence that recognize customers' adoption of best practices in the areas of health, environment and safety; An Emerging Issues section that keeps customers abreast of developments that affect the polyurethanes industry, ranging from proposed flammability standards for furniture and bedding to changes in blowing agents, as well as government action related to these issues; and On-line ordering of product stewardship publications, such as safe handling checklists for a variety of materials and situations and various trade association brochures. Bayer customers can also reach the BayCare Online Resource Center through BayerONE, an online, private exchange that customers access via the Internet at www.bayerone.com to view and manage their accounts with Bayer's polymers and chemicals businesses. ' This Web site is just one more demonstration of Bayer's long-standing commitment to the industry in general and to Responsible Care in particular,' said Campbell, adding that Bayer will not rest on its laurels.
