| Bayer Polymers has appointed Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., Allentown, Pa., as its global distributor for excess toluenediisocyanate (TDI) intermediates. |
With the 2003 start-up of its new dinitrotoluene (DNT) and toluenediamine (TDA) manufacturing facility in Dormagen, Germany, Bayer expects to have intermediate capacity in Europe and the U. 'Air Products is a leading supplier of DNT and TDA to the polyurethane industry,' said Guenther Weymans, Head of Global TDI Operations for BayerPolymers. 'Their market knowledge and global supply network were key in our decision to market our excess products through them,' Weymans continued.
