ESI Group and Neilsoft signed OEM agreement to provide a new generation of die casting design software to the foundry industry. Both companies will collaborate on a joint development program for integrating Neilsoft's DiEdifice within ESI Group's casting process simulation solutions. This will offer unique die gating construction capabilities for rapid design and process validation. A pioneering modeling software for high-pressure die-casting, DiEdifice designs gates, runners, overflows, and vacuum venting. Besides its gate-making capabilities, DiEdifice helps create the ejection and cooling channels based on built in engineering and design rules. As a result, it shortens and optimizes die modeling and provides a unique geometry pre-processor to the casting process simulation. "This partnership represents an additional step in the consolidation of our casting simulation portfolio," said Dominique Lefebvre, product manager, Casting Solutions, ESI Group. "Whether they use ProCAST or PAM-CAST for shape casting simulation, DiEdifice will help our customers dramatically reduce their gating system design time from 2-3 days to just a couple of hours.
