New Eastman headquarters signage made from Eastman specialty plastic

There is no doubt that Eastman Chemical Company has set up shop near Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Visitors to the Capelle aan den IJssel area cannot miss the large red Eastman sign on top of the company’s new regional headquarters facility. The sign is made of Eastman’s Kelvx resin, the first such use for outdoor signage in Europe.

'Durable and temperature resistant plastic sheet made with Kelvx resin expands a designer’s options, 'said Michael Hartmann, market development manager at Eastman. “Premiering here in The Netherlands, Kelvx resins are now a material of choice for outdoor signage all over the world.”

Kelvx resin is a versatile material that is protected from ultraviolet light, easily fabricated, chemical and impact resistant, making it ideal for outdoor applications such as signs and architectural glazing products.
